These resources relate to a research study called Small Talk which explored speech and language issues for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.
The study explored whether children’s speech and language developmental needs, including hearing, were able to be recognised by the case managers and clinicians who were those working with the children.
The report presents the findings of the research and is accompanied by a literature review and a poster on communication problems in maltreated children.
Report (booklet, 94 pages) and Literature review (booklet, 36 pages) available to buy as a set.
