The Berry Street Education Model team are big readers! In our ongoing efforts to learn and grow we engage with a range of genres. This ranges from theoretical texts around trauma aware, positive psychology, informed education to biographies of people who have experienced post traumatic growth, or fictional books that explore themes related to our work. And, of course we have an abiding love of children stories that encourage social and emotional learning.

We will be chatting about some books we have been reading lately (list below) and invite you to join in those conversations. We are also interested to hear about what you have been reading. This book club will be delivered in a Zoom room so you can participate from the comfort of your own home and the tone will be fun and informal, cups of teas, wine and cheese are optional but encouraged!

If you would like to join us in a conversation about reading, please register below. All are welcome whether you have read all three, just one or even none of the books!

  • Too Much Lip by Melissa Lucashenko
  • Our Home Our Heartbeat by Adam Briggs
  • Dark Emu by Bruce Pascoe
