BSEM Masterclass
Implementing BSEM Strategies
- 9 October 2019
- 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM
The Berry Street Education Model Masterclasses are one-day offerings for participants who have already completed the Berry Street Education Model four-day training course.
These special masterclass days are valuable opportunities for educators to extend their knowledge, re-connect and further their application of the model. Our masterclasses are a great way to collaborate with like-minded educators in our growing community of practice.
While each class has a different focus, we have designed the program to be informed by research, anchored in practice, and aimed at building sustainability and consistency in the Berry Street Education Model across a whole-school approach.

Implementing BSEM Strategies (for BSEM Alumni)
Participants will have opportunities to consider the needs of both staff and students, increase their ability to assess their unmet needs and determine interventions, and reflect on whole-school processes with the guidance of the Berry Street Education Model team. The focus is predominantly to assist staff in how to lead the implementation of the Berry Street Education Model in their school.
Participants will learn mentoring and feedback strategies for teachers using the Berry Street Education Model; push deeper into wellbeing theory and it’s practical applications for whole-school change; increase the ability to assess for adult and student learning; and set intentions for implementation.
Participants will consider whole-school procedures to behaviour support and restorative practice; pursue new learning from the science of wellbeing; receive support and guidance on their implementation plans.
